Charles "Chuck" Thomas Gaynor)who is now deceased (2003). Chuck was a medic with the 86th. He went into service January 1942 and was with the 86th from early on and landed in Casablanca, French Marocco. He was with the 86th until the end of the war in Northern Italy. His picture is in the Squadron book with the Infirmary crew.
In North Africa Chuck did fly some air crew missions since they were shorthanded. Said he was glad to get back to doing is ground job. |
